RB + LS Up or LB standalone, however, will allow you to chase your opponent. To sidestep, or in simpler terms, dodge (or evade), simply do so by pressing RB and leaning LS (Left Stick) Left, Right, or Down at the same time (RB + LS Left, RB + LS Right, and RB + LS Down)! This will allow you to dodge left, right, below, and will help you avoid hits or approach your opponent in a more defensive manner! RB is the button you click/press in order to block. This is your movement gauge circle, which will be consumed via dodging or escaping. If you take a look carefully at the bottom-left corner of this screenshot, you will notice a blue circle. ![]() Now that we have gone over the basic controls from Chapter 1, it is time to introduce some of the mechanics featured in Jump Force! Pressing RT with X, Y, or B allows you to do a super that consumes 1-3 meters! Pressing RT with A allows you to perform an Ultimate when ready! RT Trigger Button: Your very-important button in this game: Holding this button allows you to charge meter. LT Trigger Button: Your partner button! You can hold the button to call an assist before/after blocking or comboing! You can also tap the button to switch to your next character! This can even be done mid-combo! LB Shoulder Button: can either be used to chase your opponent with a powerful dash or escape from a combo string you get caught in! Be careful, though, escaping consumes your entire movement meter! which can also be done with the LB button! You can combine LS leaning Left, Down, or Right + RB to dodge! LS Up + RB allows you to chase. Y button: works the same way as the X, but is your heavy combo button! Less amount of hits than the light combo! You can either use it as a simple multi-hit combo approach, or you can add a super or ultimate as a zesty confirm combo! Here, we will go over the basic XBOX 360/ONE-format controls! This game was created mainly to celebrate Weekly Shonen Jump's 50TH ANNIVERSARY! (Can't believe Weekly Shonen Jump has been around for that long, now. It's an edgy, mainstream-anime-only game that tries taking itself too seriously.
